John W. Norris – Mayor, Village of Riverwoods

It is my great pleasure to use the Letter from the Mayor in this issue of the Village Voice to welcome our newest trustee, Eric Goldstein. Eric has been nominated by the Riverwoods Caucus as a candidate for trustee in the coming election, so he  was a natural choice to fill our vacant trustee position on the Board.  Trustee Goldstein has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/ Management from University of Illinois at Chicago and lives on the north side of the Village south of Duffy Lane. We look forward to working with him for years to come.

The work on the new Village Hall continues moving forward, pretty much on schedule.  We are still looking to a late May – early June opening date. A ribbon cutting and open house for all residents is currently being planned for around the week of June 1st.

Finally, we are holding a Village Easter Egg Hunt again this year. Despite being a cold, rainy day last year, everyone had a good time.  Easter is April 16th this year, so the weather should be a little better. We hope to see you all out there.
