New Business

Resolution 20-03-01 extending the effective period for the Declaration of Emergency issued March 24, 2020.

Mayor Norris reported the Governor’s Declaration of Emergency was fully implemented, which allows the Village to make necessary purchases quicker and necessary construction is allowed.  The advisory committee, consisting of Trustee Hollander, Trustee Jamerson and Director of Community Services Rob Durning, has established some guidelines.  Governor Pritzker has declared construction as an essential activity, but the Village needs to ensure there are some limitations to protect staff and residents while ensuring they are doing their best not to spread the Covid-19 virus around the Village or the State.

Mayor Norris noted the Declaration does not give him the power to do just anything; rather, he has the authority for necessary things related to the emergency.

Trustee Chamberlain moved to adopt the Resolution.  Trustee Jamerson seconded the motion.  The motion passed by the following vote:

AYES:  Chamberlain, Clayton, Goldstein, Hollander, Jamerson (5)

NAYS:  None (0)

Adjournment

There being no further business to discuss, Trustee Chamberlain moved to adjourn the meeting.  Trustee Clayton seconded the motion.  The meeting was adjourned at 1:07 pm.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will take place on April 7, 2020 at 7:30 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Daphne Paras
