Winter Clothing Donations for Migrants Now Accepted at Riverwoods Village Hall

Recognizing the challenges faced by migrants, particularly during the winter months, the Village of Riverwoods invites its residents to extend a helping hand to those in need. This initiative aims to collect essential winter items to provide comfort and protection against the harsh weather conditions that migrants may encounter on their journey.
 
The following items can be dropped off in the vestibule of the Village of Riverwoods:
  • Children’s Snow Pants, Size 5T-14J
  • Women’s sweatshirts and sweatpants, Sizes S-M
  • Women’s and Men’s Winter Boots Sizes 7-11
  • Children’s Winter Boots
  • Puffy Coats for Children and Adults, Sizes S-L
 
Donation Instructions:
  • All donated items must be clean and in good condition
  • All items must be placed in bags or boxes/suitcases prior to being dropped off.
  • Label bags/boxes, summarizing contents, quantity and sizes.
 
PLEASE DO NOT DONATE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT PART OF THIS LIST
 
Donations will be accepted through Friday, January 26 and will be taken to the Latino Treatment Center, who will distribute the donated items to the migrants.
