Fun was had by all at the Spooktacular Halloween Party

Halloween Party - Three Girls Picking Out Pumpkins

Last Saturday, Riverwoods residents came out for the annual Halloween Party hosted by the Riverwoods Residents Association (RRA). It was a perfect day filled with popcorn, pumpkins, a petting zoo, balloons and some visitors from Orphans of the Storm. And as always, the kids loved meeting our Police officers and Firefighters.

Along with a special thanks to the First Responders, the RRA also wants to thank all the many hands that made the Village’s Halloween Party a scary good time. Volunteers are the backbone of Village events. Residents generously donated the popcorn truck, the many, many pumpkins as well as their time and energy. Those donations are invaluable – and the key to the success of this event.

The star volunteers this year were the friendly 10-year-olds in their popcorn costumes that served the popcorn. They also helped at the food table and were a great part of decorating and cleaning up!

If you missed it, don’t worry the Halloween party is sure to be back again next year! In the meantime, check out pictures on at rrasite.org

If you would like to become more involved in your community, get connected with the RRA. Visit the RRA website at www.rrasite.org to learn more about us.
