Criminal Damage to Property Arrest
On 04/04/2024, at 4:50 p.m., detectives arrested PAUL G. GIZEL, male, age 47, of the 400 block of N. Riverdale Drive, McHenry, IL, for Criminal Damage to Property after he surrendered himself at the Riverwoods Police Department in relation to a property damage investigation, which occurred on the 300 block of Portwine Road on 02/11/2024, where a car was damaged in the driveway. Gizel was processed, released and is due to appear at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan on 04/23/2024 at 9:00 a.m.
Battery Arrest
On 04/07/2024, at 9:15 p.m., police arrested MARK HECHTER, male, age 66, of the 0-100 block of Longmeadow Rd, Winnetka, IL, for Battery. This charge stemmed from an incident which occurred on 04/04/24 at Thornton’s Gas Station in which he grabbed the arm of another person and forcibly removed a gas pump nozzle from the other person’s hand. This action resulted in gas being sprayed upon the other person. Hechter was processed, released and is due to appear at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan on 05/07/2024 at 9:00 a.m.
DUI Arrest
On 04/04/2024, at 1:25 a.m., police stopped a vehicle near Lake Cook Rd and Portwine Rd and arrested the driver, TATIJANA SHA REE DAVIS, female, age 32, of the 1200 block of S. Elder Ln, Waukegan, IL, for Speeding, Driving While License Suspended, Open Transportation of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Davis was also found to have two active warrants out of Cook County related to a previous DUI and a Violation of the Conditions of Release. Davis was processed on the Riverwoods PD charges and is due to appear at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan on 05/08/2024 at 9:00 a.m. Davis was able to post bonds on both Cook County warrants and was provided with a court date of 05/02/2024, at 1:30 pm, Skokie Courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Rd, Skokie, IL
