Body-Worn Cameras Coming to the Riverwoods Police Department

In compliance with the Illinois SAFE-T Act, the Riverwoods Police Department has recently received its order of Axon body-worn cameras.  A body-worn camera (BWC) will be assigned to each individual officer for use when responding to calls for service or engaging in law enforcement-related activities.  These cameras are currently being tested and officers are receiving the necessary training for their use.  It is expected that full implementation of the BWC program should occur within the month of March.
